Concept, 2012
Detroit
We love making places for people to gather. When artists started moving to Detroit, buying cheap houses among old Polish families and newer immigrant communities from Yemen and Bangladesh, there were a lot of kids around and people weren’t talking to each other. Our idea was simple: modify found objects to make them skateable, invite some great skaters, teach the kids to shred, and make a spot where the neighborhood can hang out.
